FAQs
If you have a question not mentioned below, feel free reach out.
Wifi or Wired?
The system can be controlled via Wifi or wired methods, switching between the two at any time without any interruption of the system.
Dolly degree of incline?
The dolly can travel at inclines up to 20 degrees with a light load. Heavy camera weight and fast travel speed will reduce this incline capacity. Higher inclines may be possible by reducing the size of the drive pulley, increasing torque and reducing max speed. Higher degrees of incline and vertical moves are possible with our vertical move kit.
How Quiet is the system?
The sound produced by the system is directly proportional to the speed that it is run. If you are on a quiet sound stage or at the symphony, you will likely hear the system. If you are outdoors, or in a normal “office” style environment, it will probably be fine for sound shooting at slow speeds. The system is designed for motion effects work, not sound recording, but many customers still use it for this frequently.
What is the accuracy of the system?
CAMBLOCK systems are about 1/100th of a degree accurate. Whenever a camera is put on, the distribution of weight will change the fine dynamics of the system, but system repeatability will be great as long as that setup remains in tact.
